Review: Burberry Sheer Luminous Compact Foundation

With my dry skin, I don't usually reach out for powder that much.. But when I swatched this at the Burberry counter, I just had to have it.. And here's why..

Product

- Amazingly smooth texture
- Gives a beautiful velvety finish
- Doesn't dry up your skin
- Does not control oil
- Longevity I would say is average.. Not so bad.. Depends on how hot your weather is
- Light to Medium coverage

Application

- Although this foundation comes with a sponge, I never really use it unless I want to touch up during the day.. But I love applying this with Sephora Mineral Powder Brush #45.. It buffs the powder in sooo nicely

Who Will Like This?

- Anyone who is looking for a powder that won't dry up their skin
- Anyone who wants a powder to set their makeup without messing with the foundation's finish much
- Anyone who likes their powder to give that little bit of extra coverage

Who Won't Like This?

- People with oily skin as this does not control oil

My Final Thoughts: I love this powder.. On days I don't feel like wearing foundation, I apply concealer and then buff this powder on top for a velvety flawless finish.. At first it looks matte but after a few minutes when it blends in and gives a lovely glow to my skin.. Amazing amazing powder..

Review: UNE 100% Mineral Foundation

I love the whole concept of mineral makeup.. I love that they don't harm the skin as much as other cosmetics do.. The first mineral foundation I've tried is Bareminerals.. And as much as I love it.. I just had to give UNE a try...

Product

- Light to Medium coverage
- Blends really well that it looks like you're not wearing makeup
- Doesn't accentuate pores or dryness
- Gives a beautiful glow
- Feels super light

Application

I really enjoy applying this with my Sephpra Mineral Powder Brush in #45

Who Will Like This?

- Anyone who wanted to love Baremineral foundation but it just didn't work for them because of breakouts, dryness or pores
- Anyone who is looking for a very light-weight foundation
- Anyone who loves their foundation to add that little bit of a glow to their complexion

Who Won't Like This?

- Anyone who isn't a huge fan of powder foundations

My Final Thoughts: I LOVE this powder a lot more than my Bareminerals.. It doesn't accentuate my pores the way Bareminerals does.. In fact, it actually blurs them out! It also brightens up my face in a really natural and healthy way.. Been really enjoying this powder heaps! I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a mineral powder foundation..

Would I Re-Purchase? Definitely!

Review: Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Powder SPF10

I was always hesitant about using powder on my face even thought I am combination skin.. I just hate the slightest look dryness or anything that might make me look cakey.. So I never thought that powder was really essential.. However, ever since I started using it, which is not that long ago, I realized how it really pulls my whole look together and gives a nice finish to my complexion.. The trick is to find a powder that does the job right.. And I have found it in the...

Yes I know.. Delyteful Speaks writes about yet another Dior product.. But honestly, they have been impressing me a lot lately with all their fairly new range..

Product

- Very light-weight

- Blends in beautifully

- Feels so silky on the skin

- Gives a cooling feeling when applied because of it's 20% water ingredient

- Hydrating.. So it won't look drying or cakey

- It won't make you oily but I don't think it will control your oils that much

- Gives a beautiful glow to your complexion

- Could be used as a foundation or as a setting powder depending on the amount and the tool you're using to apply it

- Dior claims that with frequent use the skin becomes more beautiful.. Not sure how true that is..

My Final Thoughts: This loose powder is the only one I have used that did not make my skin look dry or cakey.  I apply this with a small face puff.. A tip I learnt from Makeup Geek in this video.. And I found that it's really the best way to apply it for me as it blurs out my pores and sets my foundaiton beautifully.. Really impressed with this product and if you're looking for a powder that will not look cakey and would give you a beautiful radiant finish, check this powder out..

Review: Makeup Forever HD Powder

There was sooo much hype about this product that just turned me off this product big time.. I felt that it got to the point where people were just exaggerating.. But I have been looking for a powder to help keep my shine at bay and give me that velvety look.. And when I was at sephora one day, I thought I'll just try it out and see what the fuss is all about...

And then.. I find myself walkin to the counter carrying this product in my hand...

No I couldn't just walk away from this product.. The effect it had on my skin was one that no powder has done before.. It blurred my pores.. Mattified my complexion without makin it look dry or flat.. And it added no colour to my skin which is what I was lookin for..

Now I bought this before watching Wayne's video from gossmakeupartist on it which left me kicking myself for buying this product for a while as it really freaked me out.. He talked about how this powder was the reason for this happening to Nicole....

Horrible right? It looks invisible to our naked eyes.. But in flash photography this is what this powder looks like if not used sparingly..

I was turned off.. And I put that powder aside and started using others that I had lying around.. But some were too drying.. Wrong colour.. Cakey.. etc..

So one day I thought, lemme give this ago one more time.. And I fell for it all over again.. And now I shall not put this aside and I shall not be photographed while wearing this.. But I shall not repurchase either.. Yes it's a good powder, but I do want a powder that works the same AND looks good in photographs..

But for now, Ima keep using this...

Have you guys tried this powder? What are your thoughts on it?
