Review: Inglot Freedom System Palette - Eye shadows & Lips

The more I try Inglot products, the more I fall in love with the brand.. The quality of their products is superb.. And for the price point, it's just amazing!

Inglot's Freedom System Palette is great.. You get an option of getting a simple plain palette or one with a mirror and a brush which is I went for.. The palette is so slick and awesome for travelling..

Here are the Eye shadows and Lipsticks I picked..

That One Eye Shadow I've Been Searching For..

I'm a Brown and Bronze eyeshadow kinda girl.. I just think they suit me the most.. But sometimes, I just want a very natural effortless everyday look.. So I've been on the hunt for a good light all over the lid shadow.. And because I have sort of deep set eyes, light shades NEVER look good on me.. They kinda make my eyes look too close or something.. I dunno but they just don't look right..
That was until I came across this beauty...

Possessions: Cream Eye Shadows

Since it's summer, cream products work so well as they're stay put better than powder eye shadows...

Here's my cream eye shadows collection...

So starting with the top row...

Makeup Forever Aqua Cream #13 - Lovely bright champaign shade with peach undertones but sets quickly so you gotta work fast with it.. I use this as an eye shadow but you can also use it as a highlighter..

Consistency: Light and smooth but can look patchy if you don't work fast with it

Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Enigma - I got this as a gift from my girl SJ and I really enjoy this product.. It makes a great eye shadow base.. However, I mostly use this for my under eye area and it eliminates my dark circles wonderfully.. Paler skin tones can also use this as a blush..

Consistency: Buttery smooth and blends so beautifully

MAC Constructivist Paint Pot - This is my first and only paint pot from MAC and I love this shade.. It looks dark but with a light hand, you can totally make this sheer.. It has tiny gold shimmers that aren't extremely obvious on the lids.. I wear this alone on the lids and on the lower lash line and it gives me such a lovely bronzey eye look..

Consistency: Not super smooth.. Has sort of like a dry smoothness texture if that makes sense.. Which why it can look a little patchy if you don't work fast with it..

Benefit Creaseless Cream/Liner Shadow in Flatter Me - I never wear pinks on my eye lids but love this shade! It’s so flattering and when sheered out it just gives a beautiful hint of colour to your lids.. Great for everyday..

Consistency: Smooth and easy to apply but can look blotchy

Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Eye Shadow in #6 Nola - This is the weirdest eye shadow formula I have come across.. It’s like a pressed pigment.. You do get a little fall out but nothing too crazy.. The shade is so unique.. It’s a bronzed khaki and I have never seen anything like it.. Looks amazing when worn sheerly as it gives that beautiful shimmery wet look to your eyes..
Consistency: Buttery smooth and blends like a dream!

Benefit Creaseless Cream/Liner Shadow in Birthday Suit - I thought that is would be so similar to the MUFE #13 Aqua cream but that one a bright champaign and this is more muted.. Gives your lids a hint of colour.. Makes a great eye shadow base..
Consistency: Again, lovely but high risk of patchiness

Julie Hewitt Shimmy in Cleo - I did write a review on this here.. It’s a nice very sheer bronze that is super easy to wear..
Consistency - Almost like a shimmery hard gel that melts on your skin and blends nicely..

NARS Cream Shadow in Mykonos - This is a muted plum.. I was kinda disappointed in this.. The shade is nice but is not long lasting on me at all when worn alone so I tend to wear Benefit’s Flatter Me first then this on top when I wanna rock a plummy eye look..
Consistency - Slippery and blends well

Bobbie Brown in Black Pearl - This is the most glittery of them all.. And I’m talking chunks of glitter.. Great for the night time..  It is a great sheer shade.. And is the most long lasting out of all of them.. But the glitter in it is very dominating..
Consistency - You gotta really work your brush in pot to get the product out and it does not blend easily because of the amount of glitter in it

And Voila!

Review: Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow No.09 Rosewood

After purchasing my first ever Burberry product, I couldn't help but go back and see what else Burberry cosmetics has to offer..

They didn't have any samples of their foundations so I couldn't try those.. But I was really impressed by the colour selection of their eye shadows.. Very pretty shades.. And in the end, after much swatching and blending, I settled for No.09 Rosewood..

Product

- Velvety and smooth texture
- Applies sheerly but is surely buildable
- Has a beautiful sheen finish
- Non-glittery

Swatches

Burberry Rosewood is a metallic violet/lilac shade and blended out it gives a beautiful subtle sheen with a hint of colour..

MAC Satin Taupe is has more brown to it..

My Final Thoughts: The more I try out Burberry products, the more I'm impressed.. Love this shade.. Such a beautiful soft colour that looks amazing with a winged eyeliner.. This will definitely not be the last Burberry eye shadow I purchase..

Have you tried any Burberry Cosmetics?

Illamasqua Pigments: Furore & Ore

Ok seriously when I came across these two pigments, I nearly cried.. Ok that's too dramatic.. But you know what I mean..

I got Furore & Ore a long time ago but I have completelly forgotten about them.. And I don't know how that happened because they're just way too gorgeous to be ignored..

Product

- Super light and smooth
- Blends like a dream

Thanks to my lil sis @spookz for modelling for me ;)

Furore

- No chunky glitters
- So finely milled
- It can be used as both eyeshadow and a highlighter

Ore

- Has some glitters
- Gives a kind of glossy look to your lids

My Final Thoughts: These pigments are truly stunning! They're so buttery smooth and they just look amazing on.. If you're near an Illamasqua counter, you gotta check these out and I assure you, you'll fall in love!

Have you tired an Illamasqua Pigments?

MAC Sable Eye Shadow

Don't you just love it when your impulse buys turn out to be one of your favourite makeup items?

I'm not a huge eye shadow wearer to be honest.. But when I do wear it, I normally go for a soft look.. Which is why I tend to reach for my MAC Sable Eye Shadow a lot..

Shade Description

- I would say that the shade is a frosty silvery purple brown.. That's the best I could do to describe Sable =P

Application

- This applies sheerly which makes it a great day shade for those who are not too keen on wearing an eye shadow for work..

- It is easily buildable that you can create a smokey look with it too..

A huge thank you to my girl for modelling for me again.. Love you boo!

Here's How it Compares to MAC Satin Taupe & Mulch Eye Shadows

Satin Taupe: Silvery/Grey with a hint of Purple; Mulch: Bronzy Brown

My Final Thought: I love this shade for everyday.. It's so easy to wear and goes with every look I create whether I wanna go for pink, coral or bronze cheeks.. Mulch is my all time favourite MAC shade and since I added this to my collection, this is slowly creeping up next to Mulch..

julie hewett Shimmy: Bronzy Eyes

Bronzy eyes are super flattering and they suit everyone.. You just gotta know which products to use and how to use them..

Here's something all skin tones can use as it can be applied very sheerly or heavily..

Product

- Very light emollient almost texture

- A shimmery bronze

- Glides on and blends in so beautifully

- Fades a little bit during the day if a primer or a base is not applied first

- Very long lasting in terms of the product itself (I've had this for about 6 months and I have used it heaps.. But still no dent)

Swatch

I use this as an eye shadow only as I feel that it's too shimmery as a highlighter.. When I don't know what cream shadow to apply, I reach for this one.. It's effortless and goes with almost every look..

Really great for when you wanna rock a bronzy look ;)

Dear Dior.. I Think You've Finally Won Me Over (Highlighter, Bronzer & Shadow)

Ok lemme tell you, I am seriously not a Dior girl.. Got absolutely nothing against the brand but I've just never really been that attracted to their products as much as other brands.. But I have found myself eyeing a little more than a few of their items last month and I seriously don't know what it is about their products this time that made my wishlist Dior dominated..

I think it all started when I purchased their...

Soooo much hype was going on about this product and I just couldn't not try it out for myself.. Went to sephora.. Applied it on my face and thought, "That's it? That's what the crazy hype is about?" I seriously thought it was NOT worth it..

But I eventually gave in and purchased it.. And now it's my favourite highlighter! It's super gorgeous for daytime.. You don't look over done at all.. It just gives the most beautiful glow to the face.. And the shades are wonderful for eyeshadow..

Mind you I still don't believe it's worth all that hype, but it's still a lovely product to have..

Now in my wishlist I was eyeing 001 Aurora.. But when I applied it to my face, I found that it was too light for my complexion and it didn't show that well..

At first I was worried that 002 would look too orangey on me.. But when I brushed the product across my cheeks, it gave me the most beautiful warmth to my face and I instantly said "Yes I'll take it please!" It does have some orange to it but not to the extent that it would make you look like an orange ball..

I'm skipping out on the Chanel bronzer from the Summer 2011 collection coz this is just lovely and more pigmented.. Paired with the Soleil Tan De Chanel (review) this is perfection!

THE best eyeshadow palette I've come across.. I love the shades.. The texture is so smooth.. Applies to beautifully.. The colours blend in so well.. And they're all so pigmented.. I have Chanel and Dolce & Gabanna eye shadow palettes and they are not as amazing as this Dior one..

This palette is perfect for a day & night look.. You gotta just feel the texture of these.. It'll melt your heart.. (Oh boy, I've become like one of those over-exaggerators =P)

What's your favourite Dior product?
