Hair Me Out!

So let's talk about hair shall we?

I'm very picky about what I use on my hair because it took me a long time to get it healthy again.. So here's what has been working for me.. And what hasn't..

*Note: All TRESemme products have been sent to me by the company and I did not purchase them with my own money

 Lush Rehab Shampoo

When it comes to my hair, I much prefer natural products.. And Rehab is just that.. It gives me clean hair without the extra chemicals other shampoos have.. It's non-drying & the smell is ok.. Herbally..

Would I Re-Purchase? Definitely!

Lush Big Shampoo
I use this salt based shampoo once a week and I LOVE what it does to my fine hair.. It gives it volume and lightness that feels absolutely amazing! The trick is to only use this once or twice a week as it can dry out your hair.. But it's an absolute must-have!

Would I Re-Purchase? Again and again

TRESemme Anti Hair Fall Shampoo

You know how some shampoos make your hair kind crispy and hard that you feel the NEED to apply conditioner afterwards? Well this doesn't do that.. It lathers up really nicely and makes your hair smooth.. Well in the shower at least.. After a month of using just this shampoo I felt that my hair was drier and frizzier than usual.. Maybe it's the amount of chemicals in this.. But I couldn't continue using it.. And as for the hair fall, this did nothing for it..

Would I Purchase? Nope

Liante Apple Shampoo For Normal Hair

Another favourite of mine.. I have to always have this in my shower.. Even if I'm trying out other shampoos.. As this never fails me.. Smells amazing.. Leaves hair clean and fresh.. Only problem is that I can only find it at my Jean Paul Salon in Dubai.

Would I Re-Purchase? Absolutely!

Tresemme Anti Hair Fall Conditioner

This wasn't as bad as the shampoo.. It worked pretty well as a conditioner.. Doesn't smell bad either.. Got nothing bad to say about it..

Would I Purchase? Probably not only because I love my current conditioner more

Liante Pineapple Conditioner for Damaged Hair
This I absolutely love! It's my favourite conditioner.. Makes my hair super smooth and smells amazing.. I've bought so many bottles of this already..

Would I Re-Purchase? Already have and always will

Fekkai Protein Rx Anti-Breakage Treatment Masque

First this that needs to be mentioned about this product is that it smells AMAZING! This makes my hair so soft and untangled.. A really great deep hair conditioner..

Application: After I shampoo my hair, I skip the conditioner and I apply this on the lower part of my hair.. Never on the top as it can make your hair oily.. I put my hair up and leave it on for at least 3 minutes before I wash it of..

Would I Re-Purchase? Yes!

TRESemme Hair Mask for Extra Dry Brittle Hair

Hmmm I had hopes for this product but it didn't do much for my hair at all.. I didn't like the smell.. It didn't hydrate my hair as well as other masks have..

Application: Same as the Fekkai Masque

Would I Re-Purchase? No

Lush R&B Hair Moisturizer

Love love love this product! I did mention this product my previous Lush post here.. This totally kept my hair healthy.. I used to NEED a trim every month, but since I started using this, I don't need to get a trim as frequently as it keeps my ends moisturized and healthy..

Application: I use this when I get out of the shower while my hair is damp.. Not wet.. Concentrating on the lower part of my hair

Would I Re-Purchase? Of course!

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Now this is one of the most effective hair savers! After religiously using this for over 6 months my hair thanked me! It left my ends healthy and shiny..

Application: I apply this on damp hair to the ends only! And once your hair is dry, there is zero oil residue and the ends look defined and just lovely!

Would I Re-Purchase? Always

TRESemme Heat Defence

Love the ease of use of this product.. I spray this on wet hair and I go on with my styling confident enough that my hair is protected.. Smells lovely too!

Would I Purchase? I will

TRESemme Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray

This is an amazing spray! It held my curls for days without making them crispy or eeky.. Really good hair spray for those who are looking for something that keeps your hair looking natural and hairspray-free ;)

Would I Purchase? Yes Yes!

What are some of your favourite hair products?

I don't like tresamme shampoos usually either, what is hair fall though? I haven't seen a product for that in uk. Is it supposed to stop your hair falling out?? I'm using Label M oat & honey shampoo + conditioner because I love the smell! Xx

Great post!!
I need to revisit LUSH shampoos and conditioners, especially now that my hair is short. I found that when my hair was longer and curly the products just didn't work well for me. But I bet now they'd be way better!

I use John Freida Brilliant Brunette in the UK and Kerastase Soleil products in Muscat. I also use NUXE Huile Prodigiuse in my hair too - it's a very light spray oil (all natural essential oils with Vit E) that you can use on your face, body and hair.

I use Organix coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. I try to stay away from sulphates and parabens

My hair is naturally frizzy and very thick. But all I use is Neutrogena T-Gel, for scalp ailments. : ( It results in somewhat dried out hair but at least my scalp isn't killing me.

I LOVE the Schwartzkoft Bonacare line of products, especially the deep conditioners. I also swear by Moroccan Oil as the only leave in product I use, as I have stopped it and tried other products and nothing is as good. Personally, I couldn't stand the smell of R&B.

Such a detailed and thorough review of some lovely hair products. I have been impressed with every Fekkai product I have tried and need to try more, though it can be a bit pricey. My favorite all time hair product is Moroccan Oil. Love love love the stuff. Also, you have me wanting to try LUSH hair products now! *shakes fist* ;)

@Jamilla Camel - Oh I gotta try the NUXE Huile Prodigiuse on my hair.. I love that oil it's beautiful!

@Gaelle - Yah I'd rather use sulphate and paraben free products for my hair too..

@Kayleigh - Oh it's amazing! you'll love it!

@Eden-Avalon - Ouch! That sucks.. My sisters have the same problem and they use some shampoo from the pharmacy.. Go and ask what the pharmacy has to offer you to help battle that issue..

@Amy - Isn't R&B amazing?! I love what it has done to my hair..

@Kahal Couture - Yah R&b stinks but I love the results too much to ignore it =P

@Laiqah - Awww so glad you found this helpful hun! xoxo

@Danielle - I love the Fekkai mask.. The smell just blows me away.. You'll definitely be trying some lush soon ;)

I'm sorry you haven't heard from me in a while but we're not working on our old blog anymore. I just started my own new blog: www.keepingupwiththekelly.blogspot.co
I was hoping you would take a look. It's not much yet though.

WOW, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the above hair products. The only thing I tried and didn't like is Lush's Big Shampoo *I know* I have fine hair too and thought that this shampoo is a bit harsh because of the large scrub particles that it contains >_< they don't melt away fast and it's hard to get them onto your scalp especially if you have long hair.

xx
